# Extensions Extensions in ThemeWare® are integrated sales-promoting additional features that go beyond the visual adaptation of the existing Storefront of Shopware 6 and extend it instead. ThemeWare® extensions are therefore not separate plugins or apps from the Shopware Store, they are an integral part of your ThemeWare® theme. ThemeWare® extensions are often "global", meaning they are independent of page types or specific layout sections into which the ThemeWare® configuration is usually structured. You can find such extensions in the "Extensions" tab. This would be, for example, the "Announcement Banner" or the "USP Bar". However, there are also extensions that are linked to certain page types or layout areas.
